Our Client is seeking support workers required for supported living service.

Flexible hours, various shift patterns, must be available evenings and weekends.

Successful candidates will work within the supported living team in providing support and care services to enable adults with a learning disabilities to live as independently as possible as respected members of their local community. Help individual to access amenities and activities within their community, to develop life skills and to be treated with equality to others.

To provide each person with the support and assistance they need in their daily life skills such as :

  1. Personal Care
  2. Domestic/household activities/preparation of meals
  3. Finance/budget management

To facilitate access to primary health care services and acute health care services.

To observe and report on any changes in the tenants behavior/condition.

To respond to urgent/emergency situations in accordance with supported living service policies.

To support and assist tenants in managing their medication in accordance with the supported living service  policy/procedure.

Essential

5 GCSEs ( Grades A-C) or equivalent AND 1 year experience working in a paid capacity in a care/support setting (e.g. Residential, Domiciliary, Hospital or Community)

OR

QCF Level II in Health and Social Care

OR

6 months recent experience of working in a paid capacity in a care/support setting. (e.g Residential, Domiciliary, Hospital or Community), one of which needs to have been in the field of learning disabilities.

AND

Be registered or be eligible for registration with Northern Ireland Social Care Council

Must be prepared to undertake access Enhance disclosure check.
